WordPress turned out to be ridiculously simple to install — 15 minutes start to finish, including setting up a subdomain on my name server and adding in a virtual host redirect in Apache. tar -xvf, vim 4 lines in the conf, create the database and user in mysql, and boom! It Just Worked.
